This album was born during two years of struggle and restoration over what does it mean to follow on the steps of the Great Rabbi. The lyrics are an expression of it all. As it is, its content can be considered Christian, but it tries to disentangle itself from all the cliches of Christian music.
In order to do that, I moved away from all the U2-influenced roar inhabiting churches and youth camps and took a trip to my own inner sanctuary. There, I filled the empty spaces with synthesizers and guitars while allowing the experiences to talk for themselves. The end result is closer to electronic dance music , specially Chillout, because that is the way Heavens sounds to me.
It was born from certain experiences in certain communities but it ended as an expression of isolation, pondering the centuries old question: can we be isolated from all community and still call yourself a Christian? This music does not try to answer the question, just document it.
In the end, when all the complains and bullying from the righteous ones stops, the experience, the real Experience, is all that is left. The rest is noise.

This album was and is dedicated to Jesus Christ Our Savior.
With special Thanks to my wife, for her patience and understanding, without whom, this project would still be in some closet. Also, to all the people that walked with me over the years. Special consideration to Maumee UMC in Perrysburg, OH; Alan Hall for pushing me forward in the search and our friends Oscar and Sonia at Comunidad Cristiana, Winston Salem, NC. for giving me the first chances. All of them taught me something over the years.
Thanks, also, to all the people who refused to participate in these recordings and to the ministers that fiercely criticized its technical qualities. You know, the Psalms do not use rhyming.
